LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The "American Idol" judges' saga continues!
According to a People source, Jennifer Lopez - who has been rumored to be in line for one of the vacant judges' seats on the FOX singing competition - is out.

"Her demands got out of hand," a source close to the situation claimed. "FOX had just had enough."
Reps for FOX, "American Idol" and Fremantle had no comment when contacted by Access Hollywood about the report, while a rep for Lopez was not available for comment.

J.Lo might reportedly be out of the running for the spots left vacant by Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres, but there could be another pop diva ready to belt out the critiques.
Nick Cannon told The Hollywood Reporter that wife Mariah Carey would love to have the job - if it would work with her demanding schedule.
"She talks about it. She says, 'I would love to do that,'" the "America's Got Talent" host told THR. "She is one of the greatest singers of our time; she would be great. I don't know if she has enough time, though, but if they could work with her schedule, I know she would love to do 'Idol.' Let's start the campaign!"

Earlier this month, FOX Entertainment Chairman Peter Rice said that nothing is set in stone regarding "Idol's" new judges.
"There are no signed deals with anybody," Rice told reporters at the FOX portion of the Television Critics Association panel. "There has been tremendous speculation."
