Gwyneth Paltrow And Chris Martin Credit Vacations In New York With Keeping Their Marriage Strong

Although Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin may spend a lot of time in London, they think their month-long vacations in the Hamptons in New York is what keeps their marriage going strong, according to "a source."

A source said: "Spending a month there every summer really keeps their marriage going. It's their haven away from the things that get between them- their hectic work schedules and their different sets of friends.
"When they're at the Hamptons they go for long walks, spend hours on the
beach and mess around with their close friends. Gwyneth doesn't read scripts and Chris doesn't write music. It keeps them sane."

I understand that. It is so important for couples to make that time together just to reconnect!
Apparently, their social options in London actually cause some friction between Gwyneth and Chris, according to this source.

"Chris has never been one for showbiz parties, but when they're in London that's what Gwyneth is doing. He doesn't want to be a 'celebrity couple' so they don't spend much time together in the city. It's a real boost for them to be away from it all with the kids."

It does seem like there are a lot more pictures of Gwyneth going out than Chris, doesn't it? Well, hey, couples certainly don't have to be joined at the hip. They've been married since 2003, so whatever they're doing is obviously working :)
