David Boreanaz and wife Jaime Bergman entered a new first name into the lexicon when they chose Bardot for their daughter, born last August 31. The surname of '50s French star Brigitte Bardot combines two major celebrity baby name trends: vintage Hollywood glamour with the trendy "o" sound at the end.

Little Bardot Boreanz was unique among her fellow starbabies until Sandra Bullock gave her newly-adopted son Louis the middle name Bardo this spring. Spelled without the silent final t, Bardo is the name of a medieval German saint and also an Aboriginal name meaning water. Bardo is also a Buddhist concept meaning "intermediate state."
The middle name, Vita, is an unusual Latin name meaning life. Other names that mean life include Vivienne, name of one of the twin children of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, and Zoe, name of the daughters of both Rosanna Arquette and Woody Harrelson.

Other celebrity baby names that end with the fashionable o sound include Harlow, which also includes the Hollywood glamour element by relating to Jean Harlow; Banjo, son of Rachel Griffiths; Coco, daughter of Courteney Cox and David Arquette; Enzo, name of the sons of both Patricia Arquette and Annabeth Gish; Indio, Robert Downey Jr.'s son; Kenzo, son of Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Housou; Milo, chosen by Liv Tyler; Rocco, son of Madonna and Guy Ritchie; Romeo, second son of Victoria and David Beckham; and Viggo, son of Natalie and Taylor Hanson.
