Heidi Montag's Plastic Surgery Regrets
"Spencer begged me not to get the first surgery [a nose job and breast augmentation in 2007] and it almost broke up our relationship," Heidi tells Life & Style in a new interview. "Then he begged me not to get the second one and it did break our relationship."
After the surgery, Heidi needed help doing everything. "No one wants to be taking care of his wife -- who looks like she was in a horrific accident -- 24 hours a day, when he begged her not to do it in the first place," Heidi says. "Spencer didn't sign up for this in our marriage."
Heidi didn't sign up for those creepy crystals Spencer's been lugging around lately, either, but who cares now? The couple has legally filed for a divorce to be finalized on Valentine's Day. But when they were photographed together in Costa Rica last week, it left people convinced of what we had all suspected: the breakup was yet another publicity stunt. Heidi later told People Spencer was there to help her and her pets get settled there.

The photos also left some people scratching their heads over why Heidi was wearing surgical tape on her nose. "Except for filming and a few photo shoots, I've had my nose tape on 24 hours a day since November," she explains. "The last time I didn't wear tape after surgery and my nose changed shape. I don't want my face to fall off like Michael Jackson's."
Fair enough. The order to wear the tape came from Heidi's former surgeon, Dr. Frank Ryan, who died in a car accident August 16. The aspiring pop star claims she's searching for a new doc in South America, because her size G implants are too large.
"I'm downgrading and going a little smaller, to a D or a double D," she says, adding her chest keeps her from working out and hugging her dogs. "It's heartbreaking. I can't live an everyday life." And with the death of her surgeon, Heidi admits she "feel[s] trapped in my own body. There's just no fixing it."
